FROM THE MOBILE APP
The "New Call Alerts" window in the mobile app is accessible from the Admin Menu that you can you can access by tapping on the hamburger menu icon in the top left corner from the dashboard.
The first check box at the top of the window (ie. Sykes TowSoft Towing) indicates whether the business unit in question is set to receive New Call Alerts on mobile. Most of you will only see one company name there, but if there are multiple business units (or branches) covering different areas, you would see more than one.
This box should only be left unchecked if you want to disable the New Call Alerts on mobile for ALL dispatchers during the day because you (as the main dispatcher for the branch in question) are only working on the back office version of the software. Then, when the day shift ends and the night shift begins, you can check this box again to re-enable the mobile alerts for the dispatchers that are listed below.
The "+" button just below the name of the branch, allows to add specific dispatchers to the New Call Alerts. If none are listed, then no one is getting the notifications on their mobile.
However, rest assured that the system will automatically add to this list dispatchers that were "Off duty" and that set themselves as "On duty" when they connect to the app and begin their shift. In other words, you won't even have to worry about it.
Same goes for when they set themselves from "On duty" to "Off duty"; the system will ask them if they want to "Unsubscribe from new call alerts".
When a dispatcher is added to the list, you will have the option to remove them from the list by tapping on the red "X" at the right on the line. Furthermore, note that you can choose to add a phone call alert on top of the mobile notifications for any dispatcher by toggling the green phone button.
If this option is enabled, the phone call they will receive will be a pre-recorded voice telling them to check the call number in TowSoft.
FROM THE TOWSOFT WEB VERSION
The "New Call Alerts" window in TowSoft is accessible at the top right of the screen, again, when you click on the eye icon.
The same principles as in the mobile app apply in that it will be in green if mobile alerts are activated for your towing business and in white with a diagonal line crossing it if deactivated.
From the New Call Alert window, you'll be able to perform the same operations as in the mobile app, that is, activate/deactivate the mobile alerts for your towing business (and its different branches if more than one) and add the dispatchers that should receive them.
Basically, the only difference between this window in the mobile app vs. on the web is that the former uses a checkbox to activate/deactivate the mobile alerts for a company and the latter, a switch (status ON or OFF).
