Switch Your Users to the TS4 Mobile App

 

  • In the same place where you configure all your users in TowSoft, ie the "Users" option under the "Settings" heading in the left-hand navigation, select the user you want to switch to the TS4 mobile version.
  • In the “Options” section, you will find the line “MOBILE VERSION”. Click the “Modify” button, then change the mobile version to TS4 and click “Modify options” to confirm the change.

 

Then, ask the users in question to connect to your TowSoft environment from their mobile, by entering your web address (e.g. towing123.towsoft.ca) from the mobile web browser (Google Chrome, Safari, etc.). Once on the connection page, they will have to enter their username and password and hit "Login" to see their user ID.

From there they will be able to simply copy it, go back in the TS4 mobile app that they have recently downloaded and paste the code to activate the app.

For dispatchers and administrators, the app activation procedure is a little bit different. Once their user is switched to TS4, they will also have to connect to the TowSoft environment as drivers do but, once there, they'll have to scroll all the way down to find the "User ID" option. By tapping on this option, this will automatically copy it, so that they can go back to the application and paste in there in the User ID field.
